Thermal Analysis Cups To Measure Carbon And Silicon Content In Iron Casting Industry

Economical and easy to use, the thermal analysis cups are designed to achieve fast and reliable values of %C in liquid steel. Alternatively, our company offers two types of carbon cups: Round cup and Square cup. Using either sensor further decreases the tap-to-tap time, thereby providing increased productivity.

The carbon cups are used matching with the carbon and sulphur analyzer to quickly analyze carbon content, silicon content and carbon equivalent in molten iron, which can save smelting time of molten iron, greatly reduce production cycle of white and grey cast iron and therefore increase production efficiency.

Principle of measurement: 

Collection of temperature curves is conducted by microprocessor. Contents of carbon and silicon, and quality of molten iron can be calculated by crystallization process of molten iron.

Temperature range: 1250℃~1370℃

Measuring range: 

Carbon equivalent 2.5~5.0±0.047%

Carbon content 2.1~4.2±0.039%

Silicon content 0~20±0.1%

Measuring time: 240 seconds at most

1. The products should be handled with care when they are loaded and unloaded. It is strictly forbidden to load the packaged sublance upright. They should be kept from moisture during the transport.

2. They should be stored in a warehouse with relative humidity not exceeding 80% and good ventilation. The surrounding air should not contain harmful gases and foreign matter, which would corrode the products.
3. Stagger pile of the products stagger. The height of each pile should be no more than 6 levels.
